Its like im just in vacation or something... it still hasnt hit me that im gonna be here for a whole year but then when i think about it, a year is NOT enough!!! For some reason i have a feeling that this is going to be the best year of life! :) and I intend to do everything to make that possible. :) No matter what im gonna be positive and make the best of everything. Cuz this is a once in a lifetime thing!! i need to remind myself that.. going to school in a differnt country and living here!!! ahhhXD And i know God has big plans for me here. Cant wait 2 see :)

Ok so I've been in France since September 2..... I was in Paris at a hostile with a whole bunch of exchangers from all over the world.. china ,costa rica.. New Zealand etc.. it was cool..ish. a lot of people ( Americans) turned it into a popularity contest and it was well.., not the best part of my trip. However i did see the eiffel tower; though half asleep ( theres a 7 hour time difference) anyway... AHHHH!! im in france!!!!! XD :( i dont want it to ever end. Sure i wish i could see my friends and family but i need a break from that life.. spend time with myself lol maybe find out who im suppsoe to be in this world :) it feels good to be away.. wel anyway.

Eckbolshiem is beautiful! its a small town outside of Stratsbourg,, everyone rides there bikes everwhere,( i have a pink bike ;)) theres boulangeries and flowers everywhere, its so gorgeous. It really is like a village. and people actually walkplaces !! l0lAnd the houses are the best part, theyre so beautiful. I wish i could take pictures!! gosh darn.My family is great, couldnt have asked for a better one. Theres Sylvie, the mom, Gille, the dad, Renaud is 20 felix is 17 and arthur is 12. They get along so well with each other and the boys crack me up!!! they are so funny. last sunday arthur had a naming ceremony in the back yard for his parrot that he found.. lol..haaa the older boys always tease him bc he is a "nerd" l0l Like they say he always falls out of his chair and trips ( he really does ahahaha) but he's smart. hahah and plays the flute.. l0l good times. Felix plays the guitar and piano and is a clown. Renaud is cool. ok so downtown Stratsbourg is only 10 minutes away from my house on11 bike! i cant wait to go on my own and explore it!!! once agian i wish i could take pictures!! ;{ its soo beautiful and theres a huge cathedral in the middle of it. :0 ive been twice once with the neighbor girl leighla, shes 15 and very nice and once with Felix and ive fallen about 27 times. Once by getting stuck in the subway tracks.. hahaha i ran into a lady once. There is so much to do here.!! not like Kansas city at all!!!!!!! ahhh!!! ok so when i went downtown i saw that teens gather in the square or in the park, tons! of teens! ive never seen so many kids outside of school just hanging out somewhere, and the people are so freindly :) also college students always do "experiments" in the square. like once they made me and leighla hold hands in a circle with other people and they took a picture... not sure what that proved..l0l but yeah and once they had a parade of "zombies" and did peoples make up with fake blood for free...ya

ok so schoooool..... is different. its so weird to see so many people participating in class and actually caring. l0l it last until usualy 5 30 tho :( but we have a whole bunch of breaks and a 2 hour lunch break. either the lunch is reallly really good or im really hungry everytime but yeah.its good :D The people dress really cute some even wear high heels! :D alot of people smoke.. and bathrooms in my school smell like BO & smoke.. ahaha mmm. oh and the rumors about the French being non hygienic are not true. people take showers everyday and the girls shave their legs. not sure about airpits haha ill be sure to find out ahahah gross.

lets see... well i found a church.. its call Iglise baptiste du Stratsbourg , its cool, smaller than my church.. the music is really good!! but its in french :( im gonna try to go to an english one this sunday.

So im getting better at undersatnding french but not so much speaking it.l0l at all. I think other people are better at speaking english from other countries because in school they are to talk the whole time in english and the teacher corrects them and makes them say it right...which makes sense..

yeahs, it was hard to adjust at first to everything with new people ive never seen in a new country and not knowing anyone, what to expect or how to act.. etc.. but im being more myself now and relaxing. also relationships between boys and girls is differnt here.. its more relaxed.. idk people are nice to everone no matter what you look like and they greet eachother by kissing on each cheak ... l0l i had an akward confrontation with the grandma on my first day..ahahah embarrasment!!! :@

l0l

anyway... thats all for now.. oh i met a girl who is christian. she is cool and we have a lot in common. My host brother told me that the only christians her are old.. wel yeah her name is johanna and she happens to live right behind me.. what are the ods of that??

God is good.

anyway. my fingers hurt.

Peace!

Updates!!

Ok so I just found out the I will be leaving to New York, (again) on September 2 and leaving to France September 3!!!! ahhh!! Here you can support me financially with my trip to France..!! :) Even though my parents have graciously agreed to help me out, they cannot do it on their own, and neither can I. So that is where you , my friends and family, come in. Some fundraisers I have already began are selling cookies at school and sending out letters, and picking up a job on the weekends. All together my family and I have raised about $3,000. But there's still $7,000 to go (which is due by July 10, 2009!!!) But, I know with your help and prayers, I can reach my goal.

Some bonuses in helping me out are one, knowing that your donation will be VERY much appreciated and not taken for granted but instead a building block in the potentially successful life of a very aspiring teen who when given a rather expensive chance to be immersed in a new culture, will take it and run, with the pursuit of becoming an open minded, confident and aware young woman in this large and diverse world..:) dang, did I just come up with that? l0l jk Also, you can feel high tech by using the newest, coolest way to fund raise- The Chip-In Widget. This feature allows you to donate online and it will go directly to my account. Unfortunately, sponsors' names will be anonymous, so you will have to let me know if you do donate so i can show my gratitude.

Anyway, Thank you SO much for the spiritual and financial support. God Bless!! :)
